Abbey Park

This site was built into the natural contours of the landscape by There is an embankment slide built underground with a cargo net that goes over the top of the slide. To navigate the playground the stepping stones have been developed to provide children with a natural flow around the playground.



Fantastic wooden playground next to Ardley village hall with free car park. 2 separate play structures - the younger one with sandpiyt and lots of toddler suitable climbing. Also sunken trampoline. The older area with loads of great climbing for many levels, challenging balancing and climbing wall, zip wire, imaginative play, tyres, and loads more. Picnic tables and a massive field with football goals.



Lovely and safe for toddlers as very enclosed and great playing fields around it for picnics.


Beddington Park

Loads of free parking , big park with the pound with ducks and River Wandle very shallow kids easily can walk into and splash during hot days ; however you must be aware of dogs as its common spot for dog walkers; Right by the playground there is Pavilion Café - lovey place for quick snack coffee ice cream ; on opposite side of park there is pub " The Grange " great food . Beddington Cricker Club grounds are part of the park as well , It great park , there are "BBQ" spots free to use , but you must be quick as during hot days there are full occupied .


Bloxham Jubilee Park

This park is part of the Jubilee recreation ground. It has a good wooden structure but looks like some maintenance may be required in places.



Bodicote playground is part of the recreation field and is well maintained as a safe environment for children. There is a mixture of standard park equipment and modern influences with a climbing wall and the new 'fresh air fitness' equipment!



2 playgrounds - an older metal one with zip wire and newer wooden structured one with wooden carving maze commissioned by Elstree Film Studios. Bike and Skate park too.



Lovely village park. Metal / plastic structure with lots for all ages. It includes a skate ramp, zip wire, climbing tree, swings - baby and older children, big field and a basket ball hoop.


Browning Road

Nice community playground suitable for a mix of ages. Metal framed. Exercise equipment in another area of the park. Lots of grass for ball sports. Parking on Browning road.


Bury Knowle

Narnia inspired children's play area, The wheel of hope sculpture and Storybook tree, Sand pits, Pirate play feature, Range of swings, Zipwire, Climbing rocks and timber frames, Basketball, Table Tennis, Carved seating and picnic tables. There is alot of park to explore. Car parking is available at the nearby Waitrose. An ice cream van appears in the summer.

Cedars Recreation Ground

Chestnut Park

Free car park at the end of Ruskin Way. Swings, climbing frame and slides. Large field and woods to play in.



A playground aimed at under 12s that's well equipped and well maintained. It has a larger grass area containing a wooden obstacle course and zip wire. There's also a bark floored area with equipment for young ones and a helter skelter!


Clacton Common

Great pirate ship playground in the Clacton Common shopping outlet. Free parking and lots of shops, food outlets and coffee shops near by as well as toilets. Great structure suitable for all ages and imaginative play.


Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Trail Centre

Great playground as part of the biking centre. Mostly wooden structures with climbing wall and suitable for all ages. Skills bike area as well - suitable from balance bike age (my son was 3) through to adult. Amazing bike trails and a lovely cafe overlooking the forest. Hubby went biking for 3 hours whilst I played with kids in playground, bike skills area and cafe and we were certainly kept busy! Small charges for parking apply.



Nice playground next to sports centre, with equipment for younger and older children, also next to a football pitch.


Cononley Village Playing Field

The natural feel to the playground makes it an attractive place for adults to attend too! It's a small space focussed around a bespoke piece of equipment allowing children to climb in various solutions and slide back down again!


Daventry Country Park

A large playground with a mixture of equipment suitable for all ages. There's a zip wire that every good playground should have and seating areas for adults.

You will need spare change for the pay and display car park but there's a lake to walk round too and a cafe for refreshments so it's worth planning a while to stay.


Diana, Princess of Wales’ Memorial Playground

The amazing wooden pirate ship dominated this fantastic playground, with ropes, sand and water play, hidey holes and even teepees! Really something special!


Dick Turpin

This is quite a small park, but has swings, slide and roundabout, as well as a grassy area for playing. The slide is a Dick Turpin figure and horse, as Turpin used to ride through the village.


Dilhorne Recreation and Community Centre Trust

This playground is free for public to attend and can be found on the grounds of the Community Centre.


Dock Park

The Dock Park Project sought to re-invigorate the park to meet the needs of Dumfries in the 21st century with the help of This playground was named 'best park in Scotland' in 2014 by Green Flag Awards and as a modern redevelopment park it has a wide range of equipment, including inclusive play equipment. The coloured floor really brings the playground to life.


Dollar Park

This playground is an inclusive play space for children aged 1-10 years that integrated with the existing mature park built by A wooden pirate ship features in the park, named after Robert Dollars first ship, who went on to donate the park to Falkirk.


Downs Play Area

This playground was designed and built by The new play area now includes robinia equipment. A basket swing, large multi play unit, play house and impressive four seater seesaw have transformed the area into a natural play space. The park has been very busy since opening and all the equipment is proving very popular.


Draycote Water

Great new playground with lots for all ages including zip wire climbing walls and lots of swings. Lovely visitor's centre and a great cycle ride around resovoir. Plenty of picnicing space. Parking £2.50 but well worth it.


Easington Drive Play Area

Toddler swings, slide and spring rocker. Street parking nearby.


East Court Woods, East Grinstead

Parking right next to it is free and it's right next to East Court playing fields so lots of space to run around.

Hanwell Fields Estate

A housing estate park that can become busy but has a good selection of equipment. A bus stop is available adjacent to it with routes directly into Banbury town centre.


Hanwell Fields Estate

A small playground in a housing estate, so it's surrounded by houses but has enough to entertain and enjoy the outdoors!


Hanwell Village

This playground is built into the environment with a bumpy slide taking you into the main part of the playground. There is a picnic area and swings for the youngest adventurers. Parking is on the road or by the church and you then walk to it.


Hook Norton

Wooden equipment, suitable for all ages and places to explore. A hidden gem


Hylands Park

This playground was designed by, aimed at being all wheelchair accessible, including the 2.5m high platforms. The dominant castle façade stands at around 3.5m high; behind it there are a plethora of play activities hidden behind the walls.

The unit also features a range of sensory items, designed to enhance the play experience. This includes a suspended wobble bridge which will bring additional play value to those in wheelchairs as well as all of the standard gangplanks. These walkways offer some variety of experience and movement around the unit.


Ironstones Play Area

This play area has a mixture of equipment with traditional swings and slide and modern climbing equipment. There is also a grass area with mini football goals for footie enthusiasts!



Great Viking ship play boat amongst lovely wooden structures. Parking in village hall next door.


Jesus Green

Located in Jesus Park, this is a picturesque playground surrounded by colleges and a river. For more information you can also visit their Google+ page - With an outdoor lido too, you can spend a long Summers day here with plenty to keep the little ones entertained!


Kilkenny Lane Country Park

"This is the best playground ever!" was the cry as we arrived and saw it for the first time! A really special playground - mostly of natural wood. The central piece is a massive climbing frame filled with tots to teens to a few adults all enjoying the challenging climbing for all levels! Also a maze, see-saws, zip wire, massive sandpit with sand play structures, massive fireman's pole and loads of slides, covered picnic area and plenty of benches, loads of space for running and ball games, swings, trampolines and a gorgeous wooden horse and cart, mounds and tunnels, willow igloos and a totem pole, roundabout and so much more. We arrived at 11am and left at 4pm! All free including free parking at the end of Elmhurst way OX18 1EY.
This is a must visit if in the area and worth a drive too.


King's Road

It has a steamroller, which used to be driven by my grandfather! Fantastic playground, with lots of equipment, including zip wire, basketball court, and large pyramid climbing frame. Best in the town!



Behind Kirtlington Village Hall (parking free in the hall carpark), this is a lovely playground mainly wooden ideal for younger children. Nothing too challenging but lots of imaginative play to be had and a great selection for the under 6s .


Longford Park

Really good playground, with new climbing equipment and slides recently added. Good for toddlers and up. Cafe next to the playground. Also Pets Corner with goats, rabbits and ducks.


Ludlow Castle

Large car park and plenty of well kept climbing frames, swings and sandpit.


Margaret Road Recreation Ground

March 2017 - only swings and small slide are accessible but new play equipment is opening this spring. Overlooks a giant playing field used by dog walkers and has a ping pong table (often with bats and a ball - when not stolen).


Marlow Town

This playground is close to the town centre and river and is situated within an open green area for picnics, football, kite flying! There are public toilets and a costa coffee pop up shop next to the playground and the playground includes a wide range of equipment. Be warned it will be busy in Summer!


Memorial Recreation Ground, Cheadle

Two playground areas one of which is enclosed for younger children



This playground doesn't have the most up to date of equipment but it does have a good range. There are the standard slide and swings but there's also a skate park, a basketball court, a mini tennis court and a fenced area with equipment for younger children.

There is an unofficial car park in the neighbouring sports centre, otherwise a public car park is a short walk away. There's also a grass area to take a football along!


Mevagissey Cliff

This playground is situated close to the South West Coastal path with some fantastic views out to sea. The equipment is quite minimal so it really is a resting place as part of another adventure but it is a safe environment with a grass area for a picnic and to admire the views!


Middle Barton

Fantastic wooden structure with challenging climbing as well as toddler structure. Zip wire, sand pit, and loads more fun. One of our favourites!


Millwall Park

A city playground in Central London. Within a large green park close to the Docklands Light Railway and within view of Canary Wharf.

Equipment includes a large climbing net and a zip wire as well as the usual swings! It's also within walking distance of the Mudchute Park and Farm for a complete family day out.



There are 2 playgrounds in Mollington. The one next to the village hall is really suitable for age 10 plus. The other one is a walk the other side of the cul de sac through an alley (pinned on the map) and is suitable for much younger children - 1 - 10.


Olive Jacks Field

A toddler swing and older child swing are adjacent to each other. Whilst this positioning isnt approved by the ROSPA, my child loves sitting in a swing watching me swing. Happy days! Also large spinning roundabout.


People's Park

Not a bad playground with climbing frame, cargo net, 2 baby and 2 older swings, 'witches hat' roundabout and house style small small slide. Ages 2 - 8 suitable probably however there is a nice circle layout of flowers with paths directly opposite which is great for bikes and scooters. There is also an avery a minute's walk away and in the other direction exercise equipment. Free parking and a short walk into town.

Quarry Hollow Play Area

Longest slide in the county. Sandpit, tire swing and a couple of wooden objects. Full of slopes and dips and set in a woodland area. Dogs allowed. 2hr Free parking on nearby Margaret Road as the road nearest is very narrow.


Redland Green Park

Playground for children up to around age 10, including a sandpit with climbing frame, swings, roundabout and a zip wire.


Risinghurst Play Area

Three swings, a climbing frame, a balancing bar and a slide that is accessible up gentle steps.


Salcey forest

Bring a picnic and go on lovely walks through the forest as well as an excellent wooden structured playground with lots for all ages. The forest has a great tree top walk which takes you to the top of the forest and currently you can go on a Gruffelo hunt! A nice cafe or plenty of picnic space. Bike paths too. Free entry however parking is £3 but well worth the visit.


Sandhurst Park

Car park and cafe on site. Toddler playground with fields and river close by.


Shenley Park

Great wooden playground with lovely cafe!

Awesome wooden structured playground



Really lovely wooden play structure with basket swing, zip wire, balance beams, a tractor, a carved cow, climbing frame and slide, and both big and baby swings. Right next to a big field with stunning views and friendly cows! Parking on the road. Built in 2013. Suitable for up to age 11 and loads of fun


Spiceball Park

A great playground in the centre of Banbury town. Close to the main shopping centre and leisure centre there's plenty to do in the area. The large grass area is also ideal for picnics and making a day of it.

This playground can get busy but offers a lot of variety and options for all age groups. With the canal in sight and the Museum just along the towpath there's plenty to do here!


St Nicholas Park

A nice playground situated in a green open space, with a tea room, children's amusements and mini golf close by. Perfect for a Summers day out in Warwick.

The equipment is a mixture of new and old with something for everyone in a safe, well maintained area.


Steeple Aston

Super playground with a large wooden structure built into the environment. There's also a zip wire that everyone loves!

For the younger children there's an enclosed play area with their own wooden adventure and you'll also found plenty of places for hide and seek!

There are toilet facilities, picnic area and a field for the football so you can prepare for a day out!


Strathclyde Country Park

This playground is a renewal of the play area at the Motherwell end of the park, by, to create a natural play area which complemented the woodland surroundings. The wooden equipment is located next to a grassy area and some trees to provide additional play areas for all ages!


The Priory Gardens

A mixture of new and old equipment, providing something for everyone. It's situated in The Priory Gardens which has grass areas, a pond with ducks and geese and well maintained gardens.

The climbing net was a big hit!


The Recreation Ground Stratford-Upon-Avon

Awesome playground for all ages. 2 separate areas for young and older children. Climbing walls, ropes, zip wire, sand pit and water play. Between May and September a paddling pool is also available and if the weather's right and ice-cream van can also be found situated in the playground!

Parking in Swan's Nest Lane from £1 per hour with a host of other activities available just a short walk away including a recreation ground, river to feed the ducks and swans and an old town centre to walk around. Fun really can be had by all.


Thorp Arch Retail Park

Great playground inside industrial estate - near Crazy Tykes soft play. Zip wire, swings and 2 ships to climb and play on. Really recommended.


Trallwn Park Playground

Parking is by the Community Centre on Bethel Road


Victoria Park

One of the best parks in Glasgow for Primary and Pre-school children, with separate areas, multiple climbing frames of different abilities and a maze (which could do with upgrading) but is still fun.

Parking on Victoria Park Drive North (by the main gate) can get difficult on a busy day, but if you park at Whiteinch Library across the dual carrageway there is an underpass to the park.

Park also has putting, tennis, basketball, a large pond and the fossil grove (fossilized trees),


Vyner Park

Plenty of parking with a playground and Nelson's coffee shop next door.


Walton Park

Two playgrounds, one for under 5s, and one for bigger children. On Sunday afternoons adults and children can ride the miniature train for 30p per person. Right by the canal for feeding the ducks or a nice walk into the centre of Sale.



Nice range of equipment with parking. Next to the cricket club.


Wickham Market

An enclosed playground in a recreation field for running around in! The playground is aimed at keeping younger ones entertained and kept to a good standard. Parking available in Village Hall car park.


Windmill Centre

The under 6's playground is situated behind the windmill centre. It is a little run down but still good fun. Swings, rockers and climbing frame in plastic and metal. On the field next to the windmill centre there is a big swing and big rocker suitable for older children. Not exactly a playground as only a couple of bits of equipment, but still fun and lots of running around room on the field!



A well maintained playground with variety for all. Woodbridge is a great town to visit with plenty to do so you can really make a day of it!


Worcester Woods Country Park

There are 2 playgrounds situated at the country park, both of wooden build, and designed around the landscape with slides, swings and cargo nets.

The Country Park has a large grass area and a crazy golf course outside of Winter months. For the more adventurous there are woodland walks, with some geocaches along the route! Parking is free and a cafe is present on site.


Worthing Playground

Stunning beach front playground! Great climbing, sand play and imaginative play. A perfect mix of seaside fun and playground fun! The kids had a blast and the benches were very comfortable for the grown ups. Great wooden structures with pirate style theme.
